Setup guide

What you need

  • Spotify Premium and access to Spotify’s Developer Dashboard.
  • CORSAIR iCUE 5.47 or later, on Windows.
  • A Xeneon Edge and Spotify open on your PC, phone or speaker.
1

Add the widget

Open the Widgets section in iCUE, select + and import your Spotify.icuewidget file. Add it to your Xeneon Edge layout.

Tap Connect Spotify. A setup page opens in your computer’s browser. Keep the widget open while you follow the next steps.

2

Create your personal Spotify app

Open Spotify Developer Dashboard ↗

Sign in with the Spotify account you use for listening, then select Create app. Fill out the form in this order:

  1. Respawn Edge Controls
  2. Personal Spotify controls for my Xeneon Edge
  3. Website — skip this field and leave it blank.
  4. https://respawnicons.com/spotify-connect/callback

Paste this address exactly, with no trailing slash, then click Add.

  5. Which API/SDKs are you planning to use? — skip this section and leave all boxes unchecked.
  6. Accept Spotify’s terms and click Save.
3

Copy your Client ID

Open your app’s Settings and copy the Client ID. It is a 32-character value.

Return to the Respawn Icons setup page that opened from the widget. Paste the Client ID into the field.

4

Authorize Spotify

Read the widget terms and privacy notice linked beside the checkbox, accept, then select Continue with Spotify on the setup page. Spotify will show the account and permissions being requested. Check that you are using the correct account, then approve the connection.

Return to your widget. It finishes connecting automatically and remembers the connection on this PC. You can close the setup page after the widget shows your player.

Keep the widget open until sign-in finishes. The live connection can expire if iCUE reloads or the network disconnects. The setup link lasts 10 minutes. If it expires while you create your app, tap Connect Spotify in the widget and use the Client ID you already created.
